Go “Green”

Are you interested in sustainable living, but don’t know where to start? You’re not alone. A recent survey showed 62% of respondents answered “I don’t know where to start” when asked why they didn’t feel they’d done enough to address their environmental impact.

Over three home visits, Eco-Guides will help homeowners with where to start, by assessing a homeowner’s impact, informing them of sustainable choices and helping them to implement change. “From our efforts to ‘green’ our own homes, we found that there was a lot of information on sustainability, from many different sources and it was often difficult to determine what applied to a particular home based on its age, its occupants and their lifestyle.” says Lisa Ard, Owner.

Some of the ways Eco-Guides make it simple to go “green”:

• Offering researched recommendations that are specific to their clients’ and their homes
• Providing an Eco-Guidebook
• Offering environmentally-friendly products and service referrals

Eco-Guides’ five areas of focus include:  energy efficiency, water conservation, green gardening, waste reduction and toxics elimination.  “Through our partnerships with local agencies, water bureaus, and service companies, we are helping to spread the message of living sustainable,” says Lisa Ard.
