Well, I have been playing the lotto off and on every since 1984. I usually play on Friday the Thirteenth. Ok, on 8/13/2010 that was a Friday and 33 years to the date when I quit smoking Winston cigarettes. I put in $10 and started pushing buttons I have no idea what I did. Today I went and checked my ticket for any winnings. The machine said, "See cashier", I did, very excitingly, waiting to see what I had won. It was my first winning ticket ever, after 26 years of trying.
The Winning: One free ticket to the next drawing worth one dollar.

Yesterday, The 4th of August was the only day this week I have not go to a Doc.
Monday-- Portoacath implanted
Tuesday--Burn Doc visit
Wednesday-- Nothing
Thursday--Gut Doc for what I do not know.
Friday-- Piss Doc for Prostate Biopsy, fun, fun, fun
Since my troubles began on May 24, I have had 5 fingers stuck up my ass, twice by women and three times by men. I must admit I have not had 2 hands on my shoulder while the men were making their examination. Tomorrow will be the 3rd time an instrument will be stuck up my rectum since the above date.
Otherwise the attention I have received has been, whatever.

Diagnoses
Well, well, a diagnosis has been made and treatment plan is almost complete. The Cut doc made another asshole inspection yesterday and determined the mass was too big for his usual operating procedure. He and the Gut Doc and Poison Doc decided they would add another Doc to the procedure, A Radiation Doc, known from now on as Burn Doc.
The treatment for the next six weeks will be this: A stint will be put in my chest. A pump will be inserted into this stint with a low dose of chemo. That will continue each week for six week. Radiation therapy each day (or each week day) for the same time.
I had a PET Scan today. The worse yet lying on your back for 80 minutes is not my style. At the end I could not breath because of allergies. When you cannot breath nothing else is important but getting the next breathes.
I have conclude when the Big C has been diagnosed there are many that see the Big $$$$$$$.
Update to clarify:
The chemo & radiation will start next week, I think, I will have the stint put in Monday(scheduled) and will see the Burn Doc on Tuesday(scheduled). I assume they will start the next day. They will go on for six weeks. Then after 4 more weeks, they will make a decision for the next turn of events. The radiation is done 2 blocks from where I go to fellowship meetings everyday at noon. No interruption to my daily activities. It takes only five minutes. I will have go to across the river once a week for the pump to be put in the stint. The Poison Doc states I should not have any sides effect to the chemo since it is such a low dose. Yea!! We will see.

Senior Moments
July 27th
This morning I got up at this AM, the only thing my unusual schedule was to go give blood for the research program I had volunteered. I note that I had set a time I could not make. I called and moved the scheduled time back one half one-half hour.
I went and gave the blood without incident. I was given three pages, both sides, describing the research it was involved. I left and went a bagel place and had breakfast. Half way through breakfast I noted I did not have my envelope that had my $50 check. I looked all over the bagel restaurant for the envelope and had one of the workers helping me. Then I called the young lady that drew my blood and my first words,” Stop payment on check". She you left the check here.
Talked to my oncologist fellowship friend about my treatment schedule. He said it would all be scheduled according to their vacation plans or payments on their boat.

July 26th Busy day doing nothing. The most exciting was back on the 20th of July A research team want to take my blood to determine if Blood work could determine the same thing as sticking tools your your ass. I got $20 for that little effort. Well today they called again wanting some more blood. This time I am getting $50. So Fran & I are eating out at some fancy place.
I called my urologist and Pdoc today and got two calls from the surgeon's staff, I have not seen yet. The urologist and Pdoc called me back. Now this is where I stand:
A GP Doc
A GI Doc
A Cancer Doc
A Cutting Doc
A Pecker Checker Doc
A Pdoc
That is six doctors I wonder if I can keep all these folks informed on whom is cutting, who is burning, who is poisoning, while one is trying to keep me out of the happy house and two others wanting to stick their tools up my ass as soon as possible and a general practitioner trying to find how she can get in on the act and send out a few billings.
Then there is UHC wishing they could drop me. Ain't nice to get all this attention.

July 20th the GI Doc’s staff started setting me up for test and others Docs , Oncologist & surgeon I have had a scan and it confirmed the mass but did not revile much more.
On July 23rd I visited the Oncologist He states the Colon cancer is stage 1, 2, or 3. He also thinks the neoplasm has been there a long time. He also ordered a PET scan July 29th one-day dater the vista with surgeon.
Yesterday and today I have been dealing with my manic-depressive disorder. This is nothing new.
The answer lies here: First I am a fellowship member and will be as long as I can be. The methodology is this.
I can Love my fellow member.
Pray often:
God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The Courage to change the things I can.
And the Wisdom to know the difference.
Practice as Bill Sees It
'"When I feeling depressed, I repeat to myself state such as these: "Pain is the touchstone of spiritual progress"……. "Fear no evil"………"This to shall pass"………"This experience can be turned to benefit."
These fragment of prayer are far more than mere comfort. They keep me on the track of right acceptance; they break up my compulsive themes of guilt, depression, rebellion, and pride; and sometimes they endow me with the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Diagnoses
The night of May 23rd my BPH problem became worse, with some burning when urinating. I called my GP and got an appointment late the afternoon of the 24th.
I went to my noon AA meeting, but left when a Doc at the meeting wanted to drive me home. I thought I was ok so I drove home myself. After being home for about an hour I knew I should not drive. So I got other transportation to the GP. I was not examined nor listened to. They did take a urine sample, but my insurance did not pay enough so they sent it to another lab. I was given a perception for ciprofloxacin for 20 days. I filled perception, took that day as prescribed. I came home and laid down, I went home laid down after I had taken my meds. My temp soared up to 101° later 103°.

Nobody is working and paying taxes. Don't you reckon if we had some folks working they might spend a little money and get somebody else working. This program put thousands of people working RIGHT NOW.
Some do not understand the poor are suffering and need some faith in the system and cash in the pocket to get things moving again, so the rich can take it away again. So what is the big deal about the rich paying a little taxes. They will have it back before a cat can lick his ass.
We have had 28 years of the government is the problem and it has given us the greatest depression since the thirties.

I hear all the talk about cost of "Cash for Clunker" and "Health Care". it sure would be nice if we had somebody paying taxes.
I bet those people getting unemployment compensation and welfare are still paying taxes. i.e. sales taxes.
That is too much to ask of those on Wall Street to chip in a little.

I was born in central KY at the end of the Jim Crow days. I was taught segregation (a less violent form of racism) by my mother from childhood. I moved to TN in 1970 after the Civil Rights movement. People were making an effort to live together but racism was rampant. I move to MN in 1973 very few blacks in the area. There was racism. Calling bad names and such. I moved to PA in 1984 the very same as MN, underlining racism. 1989 In moved OH again the same. 1992 I moved to Egypt where I seen people of all skin color lived together as equals. then in 1993 I moved to MS. I was told race relation was like hot burning cole. It might go out or it might burst into flame.
I believe from my experience A racial difference was taught for 400 years. We have tried hard for 44 years to put the aggrieved ones up to the starting line, so they my enjoy the rights and opportunities all should have. This changing of the starting line is a tool used to bring us back to the statement made about MS in 1992. Those of us taught racism from childhood made not realize we a racist.
However there is not a question our drug prohibition laws have exploited this underlining racism. Cocaine prohibition laws is one that shows this. The other issue is our prison population. One million blacks in prisons.

Obama/Gates/Crowley |
 |
|
|

The Gates/Crowley fiasco is just another case of another arrest without a crime victim. Crime victims are mostly irrelevant in today's justice system. Police make little to no efforts to aid any actual crime victims recover damages. Crime victims are background characters to justify police intrusion in everyone's lives. Since over 80% of crime and 90% of violent crimes involves banned drugs and there are no actual measurable standards for restrictions of any drug in this country as to harm and risk, crime victims are manufactured by government policy. The irony is that police hunt down the drug war's biggest victims: the drug addict.
Addicts to street drugs are society's biggest victims. They get “complimentary” street drugs often before age 13. These drugs would only appeal to seriously hard core addicts in a legal regulated market with free market options. Anyone who becomes addicted has to pay black market prices including upwards of 10,000 percent profit margins. Nicotine is the Gold Standard for addiction – yet smokers who commit crimes to further their addiction are nonexistent. The source of crime is black market profit margins – caused by drug policy.
People acting in good faith don't call the police – except as a last resort. Police intervention riles up neighbors and any “solution” involving police makes one dependent on police – which is exactly what Barney Fife cops desire. Even in fictional monochrome Mayberry Barney Fife used profiling and got in the face of those in the social margins. Racism has little to do with profiling! The Andy Taylors of police organizations who actually try to solve real problems are endangered as people become disconnected from neighbors.
Obama is sending a clear message to young people about how adults solve problems: they bond while using drugs. Unlike adults, 13 year olds can't get beer and wine. They get street drugs – thanks to policies that are “not open for discussion” by the “peoples' president”. Is this a great message for our young people or what?

I am just am just an uneducated son of a tobacco farmer, however I believe I have seen one of the best political move I have ever seen to get a long awaited issue on the table. The subject is "racist police." Police that are unaware they are racist.
Now let us examine the facts. A high profile black man was arrested and taken from his home. The charges were dropped very fast by the prosecuting attorney. The President went on the air and used language most thought was inappropriate to describe the behavior of the arresting officer. All the the President's opponents turn the words into a media fanfare. Then the President goes on the airways and makes amends for the words he used. He also said in a very soft way this was a racist issue. Now when his opponents bring up the subject he can state very firmly I made my amends for that statement, then the subject of racist police has been brought by his opponents. A subject the needs a continuous review.

I would have prefixed that statement of,"acted stupidly." with power mongering and ignorant.
There was no crime committed. The police created the crime. Of course, it was race related.

I was born in KY in 1941 on a small farm. 55% of our income was from tobacco, 45% from dairy products production. Both my parents were born in the nineteenth century. I was taught to work as early as I can remember. All my kudos came from working on the farm and academic accomplishments, since my mother had been a schoolteacher before she married my father in her mid twenties. This is one event described here may have contributed my illness. My mother liked to describe her fears in a very excited way.

Obama's New Tack: Blaming Bush
Blaming one's predecessor is as old as ruling governments have existed see here
Here, however Dubya is not alone in this mess. This downward trend started when Nancy and Ronnie took office. The whole administration was filled with 40 year old neocons out prove how well they could let the rich devour the poor and middle income people. They have told us how great of a President our Grade B Actor was by omitting how he slept through the Iran Cronta Thing. Twenty years later these same neocons showed up in power along with the Bush Country Club buddies. That along with a congress that had no oversight commitment other than fellatio was not to be practiced in the White House. They slowly removed all the checks and balances that kept the rich from stealing everything except a hot stove. Now they have all the cash and they are scare making it hard for all others to get the commodities they need for their daily substance.
