All the drug warriors should follow the discussion thread from the question to the last thread at bottom. if you follow the hysterical stupidity spouted by so called learned people when it come to drug use and abuse. I would love your comments.It is easy to understand how and why AA & Al-Anon do not allow themselves to get into this discussion

Dubya born on third base?

It has been said that George W. was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. That may be true, but I would like to point out that he did manage to “steal home,” with a little help from the Supremes.

The Associated Press is showing Bush ahead in electorial votes. I will be posting my comments on the Electoral College.

Call it marriage, civil union, gay bonding or homo-copulation it is nothing more the word used by politician to chase hate mongers’s vote. Those venomous hating people that have used the Bible to prove their hate is justified such as: Genesis 9 25   And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. 26   And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27   God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. Now we are going to use this for a while so we can hate some different people: Genesis 2 23   And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24   Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Now they have all personal touch to this scripture. God Created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

My statement to these people giving support to politicians that lend their hand to the hate mongering is this: 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

How can anyone deny two people living in a union, one working, one housekeeping the rights and privileges that one world give Elizabeth Taylor (married eight times). Some say well they are living in sin. Then I say to read the immediate past scripture. Then we hear love the sinner , hate the sin, Which make me wanna puke. Deny personal rights to people you do not like by making old religious definitions into law is hate. When behavior is not a harm to anyone, is in private, then the sin is nothing more than the defined imagination of the hater.

F.H.Ard Family

Manley sent me some pics of checks F. H. and B L. Ard wrote in a period from 1919 to 1939. The Check were are noted as for LAND of the farm purchased from R. C. Locke, the brother -in -law of F. H. Ard husband of Nellie’s sister Ollie. These checks indicate that I was wrong on one point (first time since 1968 when I thought I was wrong but was not). I have been saying in my Ard history that F. H., J. W. & B. L. Ard purchased the farm sometime in 1921. These checks indicate they purchased it sometime in 1919.

This make sense because farm product were selling at an all time high from 1918 until 1922. Please be conscience of the fact that there was no steady stream of money coming into the family coffers. Money was there when the farm products were sold. Note the first check to R. C. Locke was for $25 drawn on the the Canmer Deposit Bank. Keep this in mind. It is my believe that the deal was made at that time. Mr. Locke know F. H. was have hard financial time raising a family alone made easy time for payment for the farm. Another $100 was made 4/5/1919 then $1180 was made, Now will bet that was the down payment plus one year of interest. Please note all check were signed by F. H. Ard. Now there is one for $180 that i do not understand the significanceNow is the time to hear the story you have not hear before. The last three checks have great substance to the story I am going to tell. When J. W. and Mary Douglas married 10/12/1921 the family had only one checking account apparently the one use when F. H was in southeastern Hart County, Canmer Deposit Bank. Sometime between 1920 and 1924 Mary Douglas wrote a check on that account that over drawed the account. This caused a uproar and with the support of the other in-law, Roberta, this control F. H held over this children ended. Please note the last three checks are drawn on The Bank of Magnolia with two having B. L’s name on them.

One other point note the last F. H. signed was made out to Union Central Life Insurance Co. This is another point I have been missing. R. C. Locke held the mortgage on the farm for sometime (may have been only verbal agreement) but it is well know that Mr. Locke was a wheeler dealer in Hart County on land holding the first 3 decades of the 1900s. Sometime during the depression his ability to keep enough cash on hand to keep operations going came to an end and all his holding were sold at the courthouse in Munfordville. J.W. purchased 72 acres for $125. The land that Leighlan Skaggs lived on and another part that Howard Skaggs live on after his tour of duty in W.W.II. J. W. told me he offered to sell the acreage back to Mr. Locke after thing got better, but he was not interest in getting back into the land ownership business. Now it is my thought that Mr. Locke must have needed cash and F.H.’s family mortgaged the farm and settled with him.

Now the family held very close ties all during these hard times. Sometime after the repel of the Voldstead Act. There was a void in the lumber market as a result of the demand for barrel stays and J. W. and Grover Cruse purchased a sawmill. This gave badly need cash to the family to pay the commitment made on the mortgage. B. L. & A. E. filled in the slack on the farm created by J.W.’s attention to the mill.I wish to thank Manley for these pics they give great insight to this issue
