Spiritual Justice???
Sometime during prohibition Leon and Louise owned the store in Hammondsville (I know I spell it wrong). Both had to work in the store to make a living with several little ones in the house next to the store. Late fall was coming and Leon came upon some shoats by barter or cash I know not by which. Having no place to keep them he had to slaughter them quickly. This was not a one-man show so Leon purchased some moonshine and gather some men of strength to carry out this chore. First comes to mind was Claude Dixon, a black man that lived up the creek, well known for this strength. Paul Highbaugh, Layton Turner. One or two of the Nunn brothers I assume. Then of course there was Floyd Tarter, not too strong but was there for the other festivities.
When Louise looked out to check on the, “hog killing” she wondered if the job was going to be completed with all the laughter and not too much work. She was tending children and taking care the store, quite a job, while Leon was having fun and not too much work. At that time in Hart and LaRue counties there was old outdate phone system, Louise went and called her father-in-law, Emmett, and told him what was going on. Emmett got in his model “T” and came to the scene. By the time Emmett arrived all the hogs had scalded and scraped and the scalding tub had been remove. Some or all had talked Claude into walking on the coals barefoot. A feat no one without experience should try. Claude had most likely done before.
Emmett was very angry with all but blamed the whole affair on all others except his son, “The manager of the affair”. Of course Emmett was laughed out of the, “killing fields’, as all went on with their drinking and the hog slaughtering.Emmett’s anger was not finished. The first Saturday in December at the Three Forks Creek Baptist Church was the business meeting following a lengthy sermon. Emmett was going to have someone Churched*. Well, where do we start. Claude Dixon was black not a member of the church. Paul Highbaugh, his father was the clerk of the church. Stay away from that. Next Layton Turner best politician that ever lived near Hammondsville he was precinct captain of the Democratic Party and married to a cousin once removed from the church clerk. Again not someone to mess with. All that was left was his son, who did nothing wrong. It was the others fault. Except Floyd Tater, now this is the one to go after. On a Saturday shortly after Floyd was churched as the only instigator of the hog killing fiasco that Emmett was unable to handle. Floyd was too proud to be the only member guilty of sins that day and he was not going to set still for that type of treatment. He proudly said he would never enter that church again and he did not although they built a new church, I think he went once.
This brings a thought of an incident that happened about 20 years later. His son was the only victim of a crime where other escaped harm
This story was relayed to me by Uncle Maxie and Uncle Bob, having been dead 28 and 22 years respectfully I am sure it is without error. Uncle Paul never pleaded guilty nor did he claim no guilt
*Churched: a church business procedure whereas a member has been accused of commiting acts against prescribed behavior of the church. The member must beg forgiveness or they are taken off the membership rolls.

LaRue Kentucky May 14, 1934
Sometime Monday May 14, 1934 Chester Dye, 41 was helping Ed Lee Ford, 45 with some forgotten chore. They were in a field just south of Magnolia, KY in LaRue County. They had a team of horses and two Heinz 57 dogs with them near the fence where they were working. Suddenly a bolt of lightening hit the fence leaving Chester Dye, one horse, and one dog dead.
Now what would the predestine theologist say about this account

The Gunman in Ikua
The Daily Corinthian link has been removed has very little on the incident. I heard some about this on TV. The feelings and disruptions to a marriage by religious ministers may not be as rare as we would like to think. Religious ministers should carry a spiritual message. Stay out of secular problems. They should use great care in visiting the opposite sex in their own homes. Jealously is a terrible emotion.
I have seen on two occasions power seeking religious ministers enter into the lives of thought to be needless women. They would exert power over these women (not sexual) and create a power base in a small church. They create similar acts to this when husbands are as fearful as this man. I suggest the church investigate this matter to its fullest too determine if this behavior has spread. Or maybe they want women controlling their church as Jim Jones and David Koreish carried it out to a very harsh way.

This Amazing Headline
Drug swoop targets alleged distributors of deadly heroin
Maybe, if manufactured by and delivered by amateurs. This headline should have been muzzled. Opiates have been used as a reliable medicine for more than 3,000 years but in the USA today it is deadly. WOW!

A T & T story
Well the issue is resolved I hope. 6/19/06, 28 days after the withdrawal, I got my $5.40 check from me. I had to make the second phone call. Each phone call there was a sales pitch. Also I thought I heard a little bit of an Indian curve to the English as I was getting this high rolling sales pitch. I believe this was the rudest sale gimmick ever thought up by some sale manager.
This $5.40 took me over two hours to regain. That is $2.70 per hour way under the minimum wage.

Dubya Inrerview
George Bush goes to a primary school to talk to the kids to get a little
PR. After his talk he offers question time. One little boy
puts up his hand and George asks him his name.
Stanley,” responds the little boy.
“And what is your question, Stanley?”
“I have 3 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? And
third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?”
Just then, the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies
that they will continue after recess. When they resume George says,
“OK, where were we? Oh, that’s right: question time.
Who has a question?”
Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and
asks him his name.
“Steve, ” he responds.
“And what is your question, Steve?”
“Actually, I have 5 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? Third,
whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden? Fourth, why did the recess
bell go off 20 minutes early? And fifth, what happened to
Stanley?”

Quran Surah 61:2-3
Arabic is very hard to translate to English and vice versus. These verses easily translates to, “Do what you say you going to do or have done.” This is a principle all people wishing to to live harmoniously with others embrace. Oh why, cannot we discuss the religious principles all accept and stop fighting about who brought the message.
Another translation
Believers, why do you say what you do not execute? It is most offensive in the sight of Allah when you say what you do not practice!
